we make work easier.

Pilas Studios designs websites and automations that take the busywork out of running a business, and makes apps that solve problems we care about. We care about functional design and keeping things simple.

why pilas.

Pilas is Spanish for batteries, and that's the whole idea: we're here to supercharge your business. Less time on busywork, more energy for the work that matters.

Pilas Studios was founded by Jake in 2025. After more than two years working in automation, he realized he had a passion for two things: automating the work that slows businesses down, and building apps that help people.

That's why the studio does both. We take on freelance automation and website projects for businesses, and we design and build our own apps for everyday people, aimed at problems we're passionate about and think we can help with.

what we care about

simplicity

The simplest thing that does the job well. Nothing extra to learn or maintain.

functional design

Good design is design that works. Every page and every workflow has a job to do.

making work easier

Websites and automations that save you time instead of adding to your list.

helping people

We build apps around problems we want to solve, so they make everyday things easier.
